2009 Cruizin for the Kids

Great weather greeted the friends and family who attended the 3rd annual Valley Forge Stars 'Cruizin for the Kids' Poker run - benefiting Freds Footsteps - this year.

Martin Motorsports provided the backdrop for the start of the event with registration starting right out side of the store. As strings of bikes came in through the morning from all over PA, NJ and elsewhere the members of VF Stars 326 could tell this was going to be a good day.

Folks were able to enjoy meeting up with friends, touring Martin's showroom, grabbing food from the balcony or from the Barbeque being cooked out on the corner of the lot - food that had been cooking since 0130 that morning!

The riders left the parking lot for a 2-3 hour tour and while many of them found their way back there was a small error on the directions that took a few of them on a tour of Quakertown.

With everyone back the Blues City Band fired up, eating began (food supplied by members and TGI Fridays) and the stragglers made it into the parking lot. After a while the door prizes went to the attendees, the raffles were won and the 50/50 was given out.

The DiBona family was on hand when the final tally was given - with a matching grant from Freds Footsteps VF Stars and their supporters had raised nearly $6,000 for charity.

All of the members of Valley Forge Stars would like to thank our sponsors, hosts, the DiBona family, Freds Footsteps, our friends and chapter members who put so much time and effort into this event.

We look forward to seeing you all next year - keep an eye on the ride calendar!
